SPINNING

I have this running list in my life of things that i want to do and things that i want to accomplish. Do you?
Interestingly, as i sweat my bandanna off in a dark room with strangers and loud music, i have always wanted to be a Spin Instructor.
I think it is my love for good, wild music, working hard and getting people in the zone.
So! yesterday i got certified. Yes, it is true. Today i start my life with a stroke off the glittering bucket list of this life.

Hanging

This morning i was dangling from some monkey bars for as long as i could hold onto the bar.
Hanging can mean so many things.
Hanging out.
Leave me hanging.
Hanging on.
Hang up.
I watch clothes hanging from a line. Dancing in the breeze.
I watch my emotions hanging from different hooks in life.
I let go of the bar. I hit the ground. Running.

In my mind everyday is new. Somehow i try to remix it, revise it, revision it, relive it--- to make it. So here (from Design is Mine blog) i found a little something that makes me happy.

Avocado Facinator

I had the pleasure of going to San Francisco for some work designing this past week. Within the space where things come to life with a team of talented people was Ginni Baker a budding industrial designer. We shared work, music, stories, cookies that she baked (beyond yum) and DIY recipes. One of the recipes she shared are these avocado tray inspired hats (pictured)-- these British-like facinators created by her artist friend https://sites.google.com/site/svnimagine/. I have been eating avocados like it is my job lately, so you can imagine my delight when i saw accessories, recycling and avocado something in one. I am in heaven. Look for me at the next fabulous event. I will be wearing this hat. XO
